Editors: In his essay Turkey, Islamaphobia, Genocide-Denial in the November- December edition of Democratiya – a review of Taner Akcam’s From Empire to Republic: Turkish Nationalism and the Armenian Genocide – Marko Attila Hoare criticises demands that Turkey recognise its guilt in the matter of one of the last century’s great crimes against humanity, by questioning the motives of those making those demands, and denying their right to do so.
