Human Rights and Democracy in Iran: An Interview with Ladan Boroumand

Ladan Boroumand is the research director at The Abdorrahman Boroumand Foundation for the Promotion of Human Rights and Democracy in Iran. A former visiting fellow at the International Forum for Democratic Studies, she studied history at Ecole des Hautes Etudes En Sciences Sociales in Paris with Claude Lefort, Mona Ozouf and Franc╠žois Furet. She is the author of la Guerre des Principes (1999), and has written several articles on the French Revolution, the Iranian revolution, and the nature of Islamist terrorism.
