Human Rights and Democracy in Iran: An Interview with Ladan Boroumand

Ladan Boroumand is the research director at The Abdorrahman Boroumand Foundation for the Promotion of Human Rights and Democracy in Iran. A former visiting fellow at the International Forum for Democratic Studies, she studied history at Ecole des Hautes Etudes En Sciences Sociales in Paris with Claude Lefort, Mona Ozouf and François Furet. She is the author of la Guerre des Principes (1999), and has written several articles on the French Revolution, the Iranian revolution, and the nature of Islamist terrorism.
