On Judging the Israelis

Let me supplement the discussion begun in the July-August issue of DISSENT concerning the Arab-Israeli war. I shall deal with two topics: a certain style of criticism that has appeared against Israel, and the difficulties of rapprochement.

On the whole, I agree with Howe and Plastrik. And I share some of their worries, though I shall avoid repeating them here.
