[EVENT | November 12] World War I: The Resistance

On the centenary of Armistice Day, join historians Michael Kazin and Irwin Yellowitz and peace activist Susan Schnall for a discussion of U.S. resistance to the First World War.

Via the New York Labor History Association and the Center for Worker Education at the City College of New York:

This program commemorates the Armistice of World War I, which was signed on November 11, 1918, and celebrates the resistance to that war, the “Americans who tried to stop their nation from fighting in history’s most destructive war and then endured the wrath of a government that punished them for refusing to change their minds.”
